==============================================
Over the past few months, I have cleared many new pilots for Delta Virtual. The problem I am having is that most of the new pilots are not coming on Teamspeak. We, as older members of DVA must do what we can to entice the new people to come join us and talk with us. I can’t tell you guys the hours that I have spent emailing across the country and the world with new pilots who was like me in the beginning…….I new nothing of computers and how to set up Teamspeak, etc.
It took a lot of patience and help from my old friends, Tyler, Kerry, Brad, and Kaj, to help me with the things that I did not know or know how to do with a computer. I think it is time that we reached out to our new pilots, and gave them a helping hand like I received way back then. The Forum is a great place to visit and email each other, but Tyler pays for Teamspeak and I think we need to start using it. Some of our pilots, and Hub Managers state that they help Tyler run DVA! ![]()
I work on DVA business every single day of the week, plus I have to get my flights in as well, and keep my hours up with DVA.
Guys, my point to all of this is this……talk is cheap….if you are going to talk about helping Tyler with DVA, then let’s do it
It’s high time that we start getting our new members up to speed on DVA and Teamspeak.
I’m sorry if I stepped on anyones toes….I don’t mean to at all, but we need to start making DVA a more person oriented Virtual Airlines. We need to get more people involved and on Teamspeak. Each time I go to Teamspeak, there is never anyone there. Now, I know how busy folks are in the Summer. It really is hard to pin people down to FSX, but out of all the good comments I receive about DVA, I always receive one about Team speak as well…… No one is ever on there!
Lets see if we can do a little better…lets try to get our new members up to speed!

Our event manager is currently working on a volcano watch group flight planned for early June. Instead of avoiding the active Eyjafjallajokull Volcano, we will be hunting it down. The selected aircraft for this flight is the good old Convair CV340. Have it warmed up and ready!
More information will be posted as it becomes available. If you haven’t yet joined Delta Virtual Airlines, it’s not too late! As long as you fly in FS2004 or FSX and have an internet connection, you can join us in the skies! Go to the home page of this blog and click on the Delta logo on the right to go to our website and sign up!
